I use it. It doesn't affect me. I think it only stings if you have like a cut on your penis.

The majority of shampoes would dry out the skin and cause irritation due to the stuff that they've got in them, so I woudln't recommend it. If you want some lube, just pop down to your local pharmacy and buy some proper stuff.
