um i am a guy but i dont really care if they have acne cuz its not their fult unless its really bad

It's not a big deal for me. My boyfriend has had acne as long as I've known him. He's on medication to help it, and he is realllly looking great these days, although he still gets the occasional bump on his face or back. Even when he had more spots, it didn't really bother me.

The only thing that would bother me is if they had access to the right kind of care. If they could afford the pills or creams their dermatologist prescribed and/or their insurance would pay for it but they chose to just ignore it, I wouldn't have respect for that. The acne itself isn't a big issue, but your attitude about it is. If you care so little about your appearance that you're willing to scar up your face and deal with acne for who knows how long, that shows that you don't respect yourself. Thus, how can I respect you? Also, if a guy has super low self-esteem because of his acne, it can become a turn-off if he's always complaining about it. If I'm hanging around with him, or already dating him, obviously it's not bothering me a whole lot. He doesn't need to focus on it and keep bringing it up, because chances are that I don't notice it even half as much as he does.

It shouldn't matter on looks anyway, as long as you like the person for who they are
