My moms bestest friend in the world just left and moved to Iowa. My mom was crying and my sister thinks it's a joke. She was laughing and being just plain horrible. I want to force her best friend to move to a far away place so she can be teased for crying. It made me soooo mad. Cant my mom and her friend just have their moment without my sister being an ass about it? She was a good friend to the whole family and my sister thinks it's funny. Ohhh how I want her to feel the pain of rarely ever seeing her friends.

Wow, your sister is a real jerk. I'm gonna agree with you. Maybe you could just sit her down and give her the old, "how would you feel is so-and-so moved away?".

I've really thought about it. I just might do it.

well, your judgements all depend on the age of your sister.
if she's 11 or younger, then it's mostly expected for her not to take it seriously.
but if your sister is 12 and up, then she obviously doesn't care much for your mother
or just her family in general, judging on how she's acting.
she really needs a reality check.

She's nine but she is smart. She knows this stuff. But she just insists on being a dork to my mom.

When children of that age see someone crying, the probably aren't mature enough to know what to do. She's only 9 remember, and even though she may be smart, she's still only 9. I know its awkward when my mom cries around me, whether it be from sadness or even happy tears. It's not something you're used to, seeing your parent upset. Usually its the other way around. When things get awkward for people and they don't know what to do, they often laugh.

But, I do agree, you could sit her down and explain why you are upset with her for doing that.
