so i met my bestfriend at the corner of her street like usual thursday morninggs as i take the bus down from my dad's
well she was wearing a tensor bandage on her wrist and by that i knew that something wasn't right
she then told me what was up and that she had a mental breakdown
i am very concerned and she won't let me tell anybody so that i can get her some help.
i wish that she would stop
im actually afraid of her losing control and cutting so deep until......
she promises she won't
i wish i could help her.
what do i do??

Tell some one. Or help her to tell some one.

Tell someone is right.
If you don't tell someone and you knew about it, you will live with that on your chest forever. You are unable to physically help her because you are just a kid. Really, adults can help her. If she goes to your school, tell the nurse. If she doesn't, find some adult she knows and can help her, even if its a police officer. Don't go calling 911, but flag one down and explain the situation and let them take it from there.

i know its hard because shes your best friend, but for her own safety you need to tell someone about it, she might say she hates you and might not speak to you for a while, but sooner or later she will thank you for it, if something happens to her you will blame yourself because you didnt tell anyone and you were the only one that new, even though it wouldnt be your fault you would blame yourself, please just tell someone because if it did go wrong, you could save her life:) x

Tell someone
But not her parents
It is really hard when parents find out
It makes home life really awkward
And school has to tell parents
So they are no-goes
Try telling an adult friend of hers
Or go to your nearest church and tell the pastor
Or free counseling services
Even just an adult friend of yours
Because then you haven't told anyone she knows
But half the responsibility is off your shoulders
Good luck :) x

people would say to help her out yet you should really show a little taste of her own medicines act liek ur like her so she can see whats really happening when she does the things she does. it may be to late and your friend wil be gone.

you can get help. but in the end it is you that makes the descion to stop.
try to talk to her about why she does it.
its hard my friend started to cut after me.. i felt so guilty i just wanted her to get help but thank god she stopped. she learned on her own that it was stupid. but yet she gives me shit for cutting... this wears me down everyday

if you're worried about betraying her trust... dont be. Think about it: would you rather have a friend who thinks she can trust you, but hurts herself, or have a friend who's in recovery because of something you did to help her. This isnt betraying her trust, this is helping her trust herself.
