I haven't eaten very much since the deaths of a few loved ones...and the longer I put off dealing with my grief the worse it gets...the less I eat...Sometimes I will get so stressed...so overwhelmed that I just will not eat...I know it's not good but I just it just makes me sick to eat anymore....what do I do? I don't want this to go too far....

It more sounds like stress & depression..

One of them or both seriously combined cause physical symptoms..

You need to consult your GP so s/he can forward you to the right place or prescribe something if necessary..

I remember I couldn't eat as well when someone close to me died.. For me it passed but I've heard of it becoming serious so try and follow my advice and see your GP

I am losing a lot of weight...I have already lost like 20-30 pounds in just about 2 months...I don't know what it is exactly though that is making things this way. Things are just hard...I seem to have quite a few physical conditions as well as emotional...I have had sometimes when I have been really dizzy too..

Then you won't get this sorted. Your choice.

This seems more of a depression related problem rather than an eating disorder.

You need to face your fear of doctors, otherwise you can not solve this problem. I understand going to the doctors may seem a little frightening but once you've done it it's out of the way. 20-30 lbs is a hell of a lot of weight to lose in the space of just 2 months, and I'm worried you could lose even more weight quicker if this isn't dealt with. Are you already underweight? Overweight? Or average?

this may be a depression problem...but I think it could possibly go beyond just a depression problem. I am at an average weight but 20-30 lbs. is a lot of weight to lose in such a short time frame..and I know that if I don't do something soon then things are just not going to be good.

I don't know if I can face my fears of going to a doctor though..I am seriously like deathly afraid of doctors...

Well, usually people are in denial about things like losing too much weight and such. So, it may very well be depression, we couldn't really say, we aren't professionals. Only way you'll find out is by seeing a doctor.

ok...just wondering but if I am seeing a counselor/psychiatrist right now...can they assess whether what is happening is a eating disorder?

ok...maybe I will talk to my counselor about that then. I think this is all just a result of depression and the grief...
