My understanding is that hair colour can change during puberty, and I have seen that happen. For example, boys who may have been very light blond pre-puberty many times end up becoming dirty blonds or even brown haired. I don't know why hair colour changes occur, but it definitely can happen. Now keep in mind that such changes are not dramatic as a person won't go from blond to black. Usually, if a change does occur it is to a slightly darker hue of the original colour. For example, a person who might be a dark red head might turn into a light brown. Hair colour changes don't always happen, but they can happen.

From personal experience, yes. Mine started off blonde but after about a year (maybe more or less) it turned black

I'm pretty hair can change colour as you get older but I don't think it has anything to do with puberty.

Mine has changed and keeps changing it seems, throughout my life..

It used to be blond.. Then it went very silverish blonde.. Then very dirty blonde.. Then dirty blonde.. And now its silverish dirty blonde but the silver part is very light now and only visible under direct sunlight.. Also the roots are silverish/dark as well..

To answer your question: Yes, I do believe your hair color changse during puberty. Before I started, I had pure blond hair. Now, I have a mix of dark brown and blond.
