even though i'm not a girl i'l still try answer.
I think it depends on the girl, they might like a real manly man or a gentle mannerly man, it depends on their preferences.

Some girls really do love a proper gentleman, so there's nothing wrong with you. Honestly, I'd prefer the guy who opens doors for me and takes my coat (even though I never have to wear one in SoCal xP), over the guy who's a loudmouthed jackass. I'm always impressed by a guy who does things like that out of sheer kindness, regardless of who the girl is or if he even knows her. I've known guys like that, and it always makes me smile. *shrugs*
Girls do tend to go through a phase, though, where the "bad boy" is just inexplicably attractive. Many of them find out that they don't actually like that kind of guy, as good as he might look from a distance, although some are always drawn to those guys. Everyone likes something different, and there will be girls who like you for who you are. You can be a gentleman and still be "manly"; You can be chivalrous and still be desirable.
Just do your own thing, and give it some time. There will be a girl who appreciates you, I guarantee it.
