I started a few weeks ago when aload of stuff got on top of me, and I told a few friends because I wanted help with stopping because I know its stupid and dosent really help. I managed to stop for about a week now, but I really want to do it again even though i'm going on holiday next week. I just want to know if anybody has any idea of how I could hold on and stop it. =/
I'm sat in the same room as a razor, and I cant take it out, but I just want to do it once more, just to know i'm still alive because I certianly dont feel like it at the moment. I dont want to give in because then it might show i'm weak, but then again am I being weak or just being strong enough to carry on >_>

You'll always be tempted, I'm speaking from experience. I've only done it a handful of times and I manage to keep it under control, but you will be tempted and feel the urge to, it won't go away.
The best thing to do is find an alternative, find something, anything good for your health, that can draw your mind away from hurting yourself, anything that can help you control and subdue your emotions.
And if you REALLY wanna quit and find that you can't, talk to someone, a school teacher or counselor preferably, and they don't all neglect you, that's how I got over the fact, my English teacher helped me.
Hope you can help yourself.

I can reassure you that you're not alone.
I agree with Origami, do something you love to do. Anything to keep your mind off of self harming yourself. Take it one day at a time, PM me if you need anything, ask questions, i'm open to discussion. I've been a cutter for almost 3 years.. Cut free for 7months though(:

micki thats amazing 7 months! and also its really hard when you first start and yes there will always be times when you want to cut more than anything else, but the thing is when you said just one more time, you will want to do it more and more as you give in, please try and not cut. i know its hard but i think you can do it.

pm me if you want.

Thank you, Luciiee.

Natalie, when you start, that's the best most amazing feeling ever, right?
It doesn't hurt but it has a certain sting to it that makes you feel invincible?
That's where you get addicted. It DOES hurt, in the long run it's your only escape.
I got put in the hospital because I hit the main vein in my wrist.
Watching my mom cry, and my dad not able to look at me, is the worst feeling ever.
Now my relationship with my parents is.... well.. I don't have one :/
Just know the outcomes of what you're doing, you seem to know that it's wrong, and you want to stop but you're afraid that things'll get unbearable, right?
Things.. believe it or not... do get better. Find someone you can vent to (If you don't have anyone, then there's always me(: )
I know i've already answered most of your questions in PM, but i'm here for you on ANY topic. Feel free to vent to me, ok? I care and I don't want you to go through it alone like I did.

Once you do quit, there's always the chance of relapse.. I relapsed 7 times.. Don't get discouraged with yourself, try harder the next time. NEVER stop trying. Because when you stop trying... you lose alot.. You don't deserve that.

theres always gonna be a slight temptation.
ive been there
but something that can help is wearing a rubberband or hairtie around your wrist and when u get really fristarted u lift it and snap back on you.

it still gives sliight pain and relives the temptation without really hurting yourself

and you do that until the temptation is mostly gone and when you think you can handle it, stop wearing it

I constantly have a hairtie or rubberband on my wrist, it really does help.
