What friends do you prefer? Girls or Guys?

Simple poll, really; what sort of mates do you prefer, girls, boys or both?

I admit I hang with a lot of girls, but of course I need my male friends too for certain things. (And no it doesn't make me gay)

I think...bothhhh!!! :D But I feel like they can be different kinds of friendships, not depending on their gender, but on the person a lot of the time...
I have girl and boy friends that are close and I can do a range different things with them. I think there are more girls in there then boys (possibly due to there being a majority of girls in my uni class and I play on an all girls netball team...). Saying that, there is one girl friend and one boy friend in my life that I could tell almost anything toooo :-) So yeah...both!

Anyways, I like them both equally. I have both guy and girl friends.
I like them for different reasons; a girl is usually less judgmental, considerate, and thoughtful, but also I don't understand them or mood changes :P

Guy friends are more... like me I guess, I understand them better, and it's pretty awkward sometime to say "Oh she's hot" with a girl-friend. :P

Lol. Me neither. It doesn't make sense. Same with girls/tomboys who prefer to hang out with guys; they're stereotyped as lesbians.

I think it's probably because of the assumption if a guy hangs out with loads of girls, it makes him interested in everything they are, and most girls are interested in guys, so yeah.

I don't really know how to answer this. I would rather hang out with girls, but because of my OCD/tendencies toward being anti-social/shyness I never really get to talk to them outside of online (on MSN or on here or elsewhere), so for the most part I hang out with guys... I like talking to guys, but for various reasons I prefer talking to girls. They're just more fascinating. :D

Girls are fascination and amazing, and I like being good friends with them. I'm good friends with the friends of the girl I like, and they all think it's cute that I like her.

But, guys are more like me, obviously. But I tend to sometimes kinda act gay, which makes me endearing to girls.

i'm weird. i seem to be able to always connect with girls better then with guys which results in all my close friendships now with people be it real life and online being all girls. i do get some crap about it and have been called gay amongst other things because of that but i'm not gay, i'm very straight. but thats just me and who i am.

Honestly, i've found most boys my age to be FAR too immature to actually hold a real friendship with. I'm sure there are acceptions, but i hvan't meat them in real life yet.

Guys make way better friends in my opinion. They dont get as jelous as girl friends (unless their into you). My old best friend who moved was a girl and she wouldnt let me have any other friends. Also even if we fought over the littlest thing she would be mad for like a month and then after that she would never forget. Now that shes gone i have a new best friend and hes a guy. I can tell him anything and he still wont tell anyone my secrets. Also if we have a fight the maximum amount of time it will last is like a day. Then he forgets. Now almost all of my friends are guys exept for a couple girls. I think that its important to have some of both because theres stuff you can do with girls that you cant do with guys and the other way around.

I voted both boys and girls equally as they both have the same amount of advantages and disadvantages.

I tend to find girls are more understanding, deep, serious and senstive yet they can be so two-faced, backstabbing, jealous and bitchy which I absolutely despise. I find guys are more laidback, less stressful, humorous and fun but they are more perverted, horny, aggressive and competitive.

They may sound like typical stereotypes, but they're actually not. They naturally come with the development of that particular gender as they both progress their own similar personality traits hence why there tends to be more single-sex friendship groups than mixed-sex friendship groups because the seperate genders have more things in common within each other.
