View Full Version : Oh my god, I wasn't hallucinating after all!

This is just a little story that I'd like to share with everyone.

About 4 years ago when I was 11, I thought I saw a UFO. Fast foward to now, and I got anxiety that I was hallucinating or something. So the other day, I'm watching this trailer for this movie called "The Place Promised in Our Early Days". Watch the video and skip to about 1:09.

That was the exact image of what I saw. It was rather creepy. After asking around on some forums, it turns out that I actually saw a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber plane. And I'm not too far from an air base, so it makes sense (I see old planes and flying around all the time where I live.) I even found out that someone else saw it in my area about a month or two after I did.

Moral of this story? DON'T JUDGE THINGS TOO QUICKLY, ESPECIALLY YOU ANXIETY SUFFERERS LIKE ME. It can lead to misjudgements that can seriously screw up your anxiety, or possibly lead to a wrong diagnosis if you take it too far. ._. Also, the imagination is a wild thing. I'm lucky enough to have a vivid one, but it sometimes causes problems.

Not really a problem, but it was related to my anxiety as well as mental health symptoms and such so I figured I'd post it here. Feel free to move it wherever.

The fact that the reported appearances of UFO's and aliens have changed in line with media representations of them throws HUGE suspicions on these "sightings".

If you think that you have seen a UFO you will have mistaken it. In reality it will be something far more mundane/ordinary.

Yeah, but when I think stuff like this and I reflect on it in the future, I tend to look into it too much and tend think the worst things possible.

Then talk it through with someone and ask their opinion. That will help you keep your thoughts closer to reality.

Well yeah, I was 11 at the time I thought that. I'm going to be 15 this summer and started thinking about it the other day for no reason. Then I got the anxiety. But yeah, in a way, I don't want to change all these thoughts because they're part of my creativity, and I don't want to lose that. But I just have to remember that everything is not what I think it is.

Seriously though, LOOK at that thing. It DOES look like a crazy UFO, even if it isn't. I even showed it to a few people, and they said that they would have that opinion if they had no clue what it was either.
