wellll......the confirmation stuff for my work experience which starts a week from monday arrived to my career advisor at school today. so for 5 days from a week monday i will be working in a travel agent that do bookings for train holidays and stuff. i have bizzare working hours though, it will be from 3pm-9pm everyday and its right in the city too which is annoying because its going to be like an hour travelling each way everyday. but the good news is thats its the type of job i want to do so i'm very nervous and a little excited about it.

I loved my work experience. I always wanted to be a travel (http://computer.hitmeister.de/notebooks-laptops/apple-macbook-air-mb543d-a-13108401/) agent.. I hope you enjoy it! Those hours are strange but I'm sure you'll enjoy it all the same!

I worked in a warehouse for my Work Experience for two weeks in April/May 2008. It was boring as hell.
I don't even know why I picked to work in a warehouse.

Me too! xD

Also, I would love to do mine at the vets near town where I live. I just simply love animals.

yeah, i'm scared that all i will be doing is boring stuff or sitting there doing nothing because that could be very bad for me, especially if i'm not in the right frame of mind mentally, so i'm hoping they have me doing things when i go, otherwise it will be a long 30 hours i spend there.

I did volunteer work in a hospital twice. It tends to be quite active and busy, although it varies on which floor you're on. Rarely, probably never, will they allow a student to work in the psych ward, although there are few exceptions.

well today is day 1 of the 5 dat stint. i'm really nervous about it because i'm not good with meeting new people and stuff because i get really shy. i start in just over 3 hours time and i'm half excited and half don't want to go. i'm worried that i won't be in a good mental case and might break down or even cry while i'm there and i don't want that. apart from the embarressment factor of that, i wouldn't have anyone to turn to at all which would make it worse. i know i shouldn't dwell on that, but its at the back of my mind. anyways, we'll see how i go i guess.

so i finished my work experience on friday. overall the week went well, i enjoyed the work and it came naturally to me. the manager provided positive comments in my assessment. i also got 4/4 for 8 of the 10 assessment criterias and 3/4 for the other 2 criterias. so overall i'm happy with how i went and i enjoyed it.
