I suck at drawing. My art number in school is 6(the scale is 4-10 where the 10 is the best and 4 is the worst). My drawing are ugly and they look like a 5 year old kid would have drawn them.

I have always wanted to draw manga, but even with instructions it looks shitty. Anyone else here like me?

I used to be horrible, but I'm pretty good now. You just really need to stay dedicated and practice it. Multiple tutorials and reference pictures always help too.

well i can bet you that you drew once that same day and because you didn't like the outcome you just left it there. man the best thing to do when you suck at something and really like it is to practice at it, the best way you can understand a figure is to draw it, even if your drawing ain't good. the best thing you can do to get better is sit at your room and draw one thing from 6 different perspective. eventually you'll get better… happened to me ^_^

Odd suggestion, but I advice tracing. I used to be straight stick people, then I started tracing on the sides here and there, it really adapts your hand to the feeling of it. Not claiming your tracing as hand sketches of course, that's just sad. But it can help over time, other than that listen to Tim. ;) [Deschain]

Origami knows what he's talking about. Tracing can definitely help you get a better feel for drawing. Just learning how to draw a line, as simple as it sounds, can make a huge difference. No matter how much you suck now, if you practice a lot you will get better. There's no guarantee that you'll be good, but you will definitely get better.
