I have Comcast Internet and I read in the terms of use and it states that you cannot exceed the monthly 250 GB data limit.
That would be like downloading:
64,000 songs
140 SD movies
1.5 million emails
I am questioning if playing online games like Wow or something would contribute to the data limit..

I used to have a 40GB data cap, using the PS3 most nights and having 5 computers on the internet never used all that up. Now I'm on unlimied though. The short answer is you'll be perfectly fine.

Mmm WoW or other online games won't take up much bandwidth.

Screw Comcast, they don't deserve your money if they're going to cap your data. Switch services if you can.

I'm a die hard gamer xD I have played em all ):
No game even with my download addicted self (I download over 500 individual files, 30 programs, and ???? songs a month.)
So you shouldn't have to worry about anything if I'm not bothered by it. xD

I agree with him ^ .
Depending on where you live, see if you can talk your parents into getting CenturyTel, looks like they offer a 20MBit, dedicated fiber-optic line across most of the populated areas of Indiana.
CenturyTel DOES NOT have a cap, and is the best ISP I've ever had/seen.

Like as has been said, it'll use your bandwidth yer, but I doubt that you'd run over it.
I used to game a lot, like 35-ish hours a week a few years ago, and i only ever got through 15gb at most per month from games.

This is prolly a pretty common sense question, especially since I am big in the world of computer programming, but does your monthly bandwidth get used exactly how much you download? Like say you downloaded a 1gb file, would it take away 1gb from ur monthly bandwidth usage? If so, I'm pretty much fucked... I download TONS of movies, play 35-40 hours of online gaming each month, and manage my own webservers. I use charter internet and their cap is 100gb a month...
