Which is more dangerous, blow jobs, or anal sex? My friend and I have been experimenting, and i don't need any comments of eww please. But which one is more dangerous? We gave eachother BJ's, but he wants to try anal, and i don't know about it. it sounds fun, but dangerous...(Would it be losing my virginity too?)

Anal sex is more dangerous.

Anytime you use something in a way it wasn't intended or designed, there's more risk. And, that's for most things in life, not just sexual ones. So, b/c the anus and rectum aren't designed for the vigorous thrusting that goes along with sex, or to accomodate the size pf a penis, AND the tissues there are delicate, the chances for rupturing/tearing/cutting/stretching/ injuring are greater. Note, also, that b/c of all that, IF your friend has an STI, the chances for infection are greater, too, b?c any injury also provides and immediate pathway into the body via the bloodstream.


Oral sex is 'safer' because eventhough the mouth wasn't designed to accomodate a penis, you have control over the opening size, etc., which reduces the risk of physical injury. However, again, if your partner has an STI (like herpes), the chances of contracting the infection are nearly 100% if he has active lesions.

Anal sex is dangerous. You're at higher rink of contracting horrible STD's (even moreso than regular sex) from unprotected anal sex, and it can actually cause complications in your (or your partners) anus if it's done badly.

I disagree with Semp and Jon about losing your virginity to a bj, I dont believe oral sex counts, it has to be penetrative sex in my book. Remember the term used to be very much linked to the breaking of the hymen which would never happen from a bj.

I also think the dangers of anal sex are being a little overstated here. Of course the risk from STI's is greater, you would be very foolish to go, or allow, bareback. But unless your friend is unusually big its not true to say that your anus is too small to accommodate an erection as I'm sure anyone would know if you think about it.

So if you do decide to try anal just take it slowly, plenty of lube, condom, and not too much force.

I look at it like, virginity being like the word vagina (which it kind of is..) You lose your VIRGINity through the VAGINA. So personally, i do think you are both just experimenting, not losing you're virginty. But i guess it's how YOU want to look at it.
Don't be put off by people going 'oh yeh, you would have lost it.' Have a sit down and think about it to yourself. :)

they're all right that anal is more dangerous. it has to be taken very slowly and definitely with condoms. i know people are going to disagree on what counts on losing virginity though. i see it as if there's a penis in any 'hole' of another person, even the mouth, then that's losing your virginity. like i said tho, people are going to disagree on this.

I would say that anal sex is definitely the most dangerous, considering all the bacteria that are left on people's behinds. I would never do anal with anyone no matter how clean their ass is. Just make sure that you guys keep it as "experimenting" and not make it a regular routine.

Well with a condom the bacteria would not be an issue. What you choose to do is up to you, but pardon me for suggesting its not your business to tell anyone else what they should or should not make a part of their regular routine.

doesnt matter how you do it if youre not being safe these risks in anything.
and theres nothing wrong with anal sex just be safe, use a condom, use lube, and tell the other guy to be slow and make sure he listens to you if you need to stop or slow down.

Right, If you are both clean from STI's, Use lube and condom and play nice you will have no problems at all and quiet possibly have a good time, As for the virginity thing: Like people have said before it's your own opinion on it, If you think anal sex is your virginity gone then thats your belief. To be honest, Virginity does not excist! It's like time, Its a way of measuring the day and virginity is just the same, It's a way to tell apart who has had sex and who has not :)

My personal opinion, Sex is when you penetrate or be penetrated below the waist, I class that as sex anyway, You can argue with that or agree with that but thats what I feel about it anyway, And I also feel that it's the most populor opinion also.
