Hey sorry, dont know anything about you, like how old you are or which country you live in.
Here in the UK we tend to not have "The Talk" with parents, we get sex ed at school. Being a guy you would probably prefer to hear it from another guy, that way if you have any particular questions, which you would not want to ask your mum, it would be easier.
Do you have any uncles, an uncle would seem a good solution. Or maybe an older cousin that might have a bit of experience?

I live in the US, and have never had The Talk...
I learned it all from friends and the internet.

I think it is very mature of you wanting to talk to your parent about sex, and it is always best finding out about sex from your parent than some strangers. The reality is that you are going to be going through changes, and you need honest answers. My suggestion is just to be honest with your Mum and tell her that you have question about puberty. No sane parent is going to get mad at you, and if anything she will know that you are being responsible. Your Mother obviously can talk to you about sex as she had you, and I think it is really important to get the female perspective on things. I would leave it up to your Mum to find you a responsible male with whom you can talk. When it is all said and done you two need to have this sex talk because as you both need to be on the same page when it comes to sex. What I mean is that if she has a problem with your having sex while she still supports you, then you need to know that now rather than later. Basically, talk to your Mum and have an open relationship with her. Parents are always the best resources if possible.
