im continually cutting my arms with whatever i can find, but if that doesnt satisfy me i bang my head against the wall until i see lights infront of my eyes
is this classed as self harm ?? x

Yes that is also self harm. Could I ask why you do self harm.. has something happened in the past?

well i havent been to school for a year as i had social anxiety and wouldnt leave the house, so i had home tuition. my problms then became more severe when i became obsessed with my appearance thinking i was to ugly to go out, i was then diagnosed with BDD (body dismorphic disorder) i took an overdose on last monday and i went to hospital and everything was fine but im so frustrated it didnt work im just hitting my head all the time

Well assuming that's you in your avatar there, you are very far from ugly! Do you still suffer from social anxiety? Also have you tried counselling before? Personally I think that's going to be your best option.

and im still overcoming my anxietys
i see a pyshciatrist once a fortnight and talk about my problems with her but talking about it makes me feel worse

cos when i talk about my problems it makes me realise how serious it is

Oh ok that's understandable. I'm sure this is easier said than done but you should try and put those feelings behind you, concentrate on getting better and keep reminding yourself how it will feel to get over these problems you have.
