A dream is a dream. They are not messages from your unconscious telling you what your sexuality is.

i dont think so man ... a dream cant tell you your sexuality ... only you know what you really are ;)

No, even if you enjoyed it its to do with hormones in puberty making you feel like this, and giving you sexual feelings towards those of your same sex even if you are not actually gay. It's normal.

I'm going to disagree with the others a little bit. I think they've answered the question "is this a sign that I am gay", to which I would agree the answer is no, or at least not necessarily, whereas the question was "could this be a sign that I am gay" to which I would answer well yes it could, but that doesn't mean that it is.

So sorry if thats a confusing answer, but what I would basically say is that on its own it doesnt mean anything. You'd have to put it in the context of how you feel about guys when you're awake, which is rather more relevant, and how you feel about girls, and what turns you on etc.. Hope that makes some sense anyway.

I agree; but if you didn't think you were gay before, this means nothing!

You're gay because of a dream.

Being gay has to do with deep emotions and thought, just like being heterosexual. It's not a simple sex drive for the same sex, as the media portrays it.

You can't be gay just because of a dream, it's just a dream, it could have other meanings, maybe you are worried you might be gay, and all the thinking about it caused you to dream about it. But even if it is a sign that you're attracted to men, it doesn't mean you're 100% fully gay, you need more than a dream to be called gay, I think even a straight man has some small curiosity for men, it could just be that. It also could just be puberty, puberty makes you attracted to anything. But even if you are gay or bi, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Your sexuality doesn't come to you in a dream! Some psychologists believe that dreams have a deeper meaning, some don't, some think that sometimes, maybe. But I think all would agree that something as complicated as your sexuality doesn't make it's initial presence known in a dream. Maybe as a supporting role, but not as the epiphany you're describing.

Ah, the future psychologist  . I'm sure you've heard of Freud's idea of dreams (who hasn't?) but there's also Hobson's and McCarley's activation-synthesis theory (physiologically-based where dreams are theorized to be the result of random firings in the brain) although this theory has considerable problems, and there's also Cartwright's cognitive problem-solving theory where dreams are theorized to simulate an event so you can have practice reacting to it before it occurs.

But, onto this issue: we can play the "it could" or the "what if" game all day and night and get nowhere. So, it COULD indicate some random fantasy BUT it's VERY UNLIKELY that it does. Also, consider your age, hormones exaggerate the behavior whilst you are awake but could also do so while you're asleep.

My conclusion: think nothing of it, the dream can be interpreted numerous ways depending on the paradigm that you adopt. But, as I said before, we can play the "it could" game to time's end but it'll get you nowhere saying something could be this and something could be that.

I once had a dream where I got run over by a steam roller, does that mean I'm gonna die via some horrible steam roller freak accident? No, it does not.

I once had a dream that I couldn't handle my stress anymore, and jumped off a cliff, does that mean I'm gonna jump off a cliff consciously? No, it does not.

Your 'gay dream' means nothing about who you are when you are concious.
I have a question for you, do you feel gay? Mentally, physically, and emotionally?
Unless you answered 'yes' to all 4 of those questions, then you're most likely not gay, and your dream was, well, just a dream.

I had a dream where I was Clint Eastwood once, but I woke up that morning, and to this day, I'm still a pansy. Don't worry about it, man. You're fine.
