I don't mean to be critical or anything but I've seen more banned people in this forum than all the others I've been to combined. How come this's true?

This forum obviously has better moderators

That could be true but I've seen forums with a lot more moderators than this. Could it be that these moderators have strict ruling that doesn't exist in other forums? It's just that at least 1 in 5 topics I've been on have had at least 1 banned person.

VT has rules
allot of them are in place to protect the members from cyber bullying, online predators, others are for spam attacks (we had an entire frat house attack once porn fuckin everywhere) etc....

I've been here almost 5yrs
they've never bothered me

Because we are a teen site that has a puberty forum that involves questions about privates, and we have forums about mental illnesses etc, we are going to have a lot of trolls, overage members, and spammers. With that, there are going to be more banned members than some sites.

Plus, we have had a lot of drama on this site, so we had people banned for that too.

He said we had better mods, not more mods.

There are banned people because we are a smaller forum and we enforce our rules. In comparison to larger forums or smaller forums that don't enforce their rules as well.

Exactly. We deal with a strict 13-19 age sign-up, puberty questions, sexuality questions, self harm questions, every sensitive topic. A trolls jackpot.

People obviously were banned for breaking the rules. Trolling, spamming, cyber bullying, etc.. isn't allowed on this site. As other posts have stated, with all of our fourms, we're going to have these sort of people join and start a small riot of their own and get banned. Our moderators take their jobs very seriously, and so does the rest of the staff, so we're pretty much safe if anything else happens again.

Yea, I also want to say that we don't ban people just for fun. People are banned because they break the rules. Thats about it

Peoples lives can be at risk here, due to suicide threads asking for help, if even one person trolls and says "DO IT" then they might just do it and thats terrible. So mods y'all are life savers :)

Smaller site, decent amount of moderators, strict rules, good moderators and active moderators/admin/forum. Overall, the chances of a troll surviving are slim.

Every banned member I've seen has been banned for some kind of reason, as far as I know.

The rules aren't actually that strict, but they are put in place for a reason and are enforced well. We have active mods and users.

No wonder we get trolls. But they are dealt with as you stated above ^^ a ban.

Now that you put it that way, it seems a whole lot better and safer.

My personal favourite reason is that because we have such a wide spectrum of topics, psychiatric, puberty, sexuality, health, sports, whatever, it is a diverse group so we also attract a lot of trolls. But, a good deal of banned members are older/under aged members that just can't stay away. Then we get an occasional troll that the awesome mods get. :)

There may be "a lot" of rules but most of them are common sense.
Nothing out of the ordinary at all.

And why did Addi spell "favorite" the British way?? :P

You know your funny shocked face picture with 'New' on it? A banned persons has a sad face in a circle with a line going through it diagonally with 'banned' written on it.
