Was It Wrong Of Me?

So I thought I could trust this girl telling her I'm gay but turns out I was wrong and she told a few people. When someone asked me if I was gay I said no. I feel bad for lying but I was doing it to protect myself... I'm not ready to come out yet. Does this make sense?

Another thing was there was a group of kids talking and the topic of gay marriage came up. 99% of the kids were for it and for gay rights. That made me feel really good! Some of them even have gay family members! I was like whoa! lol how cool? I wanted to come out right then and there but still... I couldn't. I'm just not ready... and if you've read to this very last sentence, thanks! :P

Yes it does... I came out today XD to my best friend... and i understand what you mean completely. I do not want her telling anyone yet, so it makes complete sence to me.

Congratulations on coming out, i understand how hard it is now, and i feel so much better after i did. And say what you want to the kids, it is your secret to know, so come out to who you want to

That makes perfect sense and of course it wasn't wrong of you! It was wrong of your friend to tell people, but not of you for saying no.

The best advice anyone in your position can be given is to come out when you are ready and in your own time to those you are comfortable with.

dude its ok ... try to keep it a secret if your not ready..i told a few people im bi now almost every1 knows so dont tell people if you dont want people to know.

Well done for telling people. As for saying 'no' i know how u feel, i told a few people once and they didnt believe but they still told everyone and i denied it ALOT

be sure your really ready to come out man .. becauz ppl talk a lotz .. so be sure on what you decide to ... if your not ready just keep a secret for you .. yourself .. and the person on the other side of da mirror ;)
