If you're saying that you now have XP, and the appearance of XP looks like Win2000, then, yeah, either do like Kevin said, and right click on the desktop, click properties, then appearance, and the first dropdown box probably says "Windows Classic" or something like that. Change that to "Windows XP Style." Or, if you're lazy like me, just go to the properties, and the first window that comes up should says themes. Select the Windows XP Theme.

It seems kind of strange that you wouldn't have the XP theme when you upgraded to XP. But, that's Microsoft for you.

What do you have listed in the themes window?

Do you want the Original XP blue Luna theme? Or were you going for something fancier off that site? If you want the Orig theme, I can just upload it to the internet and give you a link.

EDIT: I'll just upload it right now. It's 779kb.

I'll post the link for you when It's done uploading. Dialup = bad

Okay, I uploaded the Original Windows XP Luna Theme.

You can find it here:

WinXPLunaTheme.zip (http://blahages001.cjb.net/WinXPLunaTheme.zip)

Download that, and extract the files to %SYSTEMROOT%\Resources\Themes\

That should put it in the correct directory. I'm not sure which dir Folder Windows will be for your computer. Since you Upgraded from 2000, it's probably c:\WINNT\Resources\Themes, but it could be c:\Windows\Resources\Themes

But, thats why I typed %SYSTEMROOT%\Resources\Themes\ because if you enter that into the prompt for where to extract, the "%Systemroot%" will tell it to use whatever directory you have for windows.

Anyway, when you extract that you should just be able to either click on the Luna.Theme file, or go to the display properties and change it there.

If you have any problems with it working, only other thing I could suggest would be to download the UXTheme.dll patch (http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707), which will make it so you can use other downloaded themes besides Microsofts, and download a different theme off http://www.themexp.org or something.

Yay for making posts more complicated then they need to be.

That's what I was originally wondering, but he says he doesn't have it at all. Not even listed.

Why are you trying earnestly to get a skin for windows that looks ugly?

if u dont have xp, and u want those blue bars, then its really just best to wait until u get xp because Win 9X, 2000, and NT arent optimized for those. it would slow your computer down badly.
