Tv + Magnets = :(

My dad decided to organize my room while I was out (by organize my room, I mean shove all my stuff in front of the TV) He managed to shave a bunch of magnets in front of my TV, now the screen is all messed up, with blotches of green and purple. How can I fix it?

You cant fix it. The magnets have permenatly damaged your TV. It is time for a new one.

It's pretty screwed now. You might be able to claim on insurance. It's worth giving them a call.

Thats not to hard, theres an identical never used TV in my closet, I just wanted to know if I could save this one.

Some TVs have a mechanism to fix themselves of this problem..

I've done that countless times trying to draw a rainbow

I would unplug it and wait for a day or so then turn it back on and off, try to reset your television to factory defaults
