...and I don't have a date.
I don't really wanna go if I don't have a date. I don't want to be one of those guys standing in a circle just sitting there doing nothing.
Anyway, I haven't been on here in a while, but as some of you may know, I broke up with my girlfriend more than two months ago. I'm over it now. I didn't kill myself. lol.
Anyway, I go to a really small school. I'm in a junior class of 55 people total. Male-to-female is about 50-50. So let's assume there's about 25 chicks at my school.
I wanna go with one of them to prom.
Here's the problem.
Obviously, I can't take my ex. (Why would I wanna do that anyway?)
I can't really take any of my ex's friends who I am also good friends with. (That would be a little awkward... and, that already takes up about half the girls at my school already)
Most of the other girls are immature and, well, let's just say they don't meet my standards. I don't want to be mean here.
I'm caught up between a bunch of different girls. Not ones that I just want to go to prom with, but ones that I would consider dating.
Girl 1 just broke up with her boyfriend. I've known her for a year and a half, but we were never really "serious friends" so if I dated her, I wouldn't have to lose that. She's nice and fun to be around. I could picture myself going out with her. However, she's not the best looking. Some of my guy friends would probably make fun of me for it.
Girl 2 - I've known her since the 6th grade, but we lost touch in 8th grade and just started hanging out again in 11th grade. She broke up with her bf the same day my gf broke up with me, which was right before we started hanging out again. She acted like she liked me, and I could almost tell she did. We started hanging out non-stop, even on school nights. Hell, I even took her to the beach one weekend. But then another guy asked her out and she said yes. I'm pretty sure I like her (the most?) but she has a bf. I usually think about her every day. I want to tell her I like her, but a guy did that to my ex-gf while we were dating and it pissed her off. So I don't know if I should do that. She seems like the kind of person that would want me to tell her though.
Girl 3 - I barely know her at all. She's single. She knows who I am and she saw how my ex and I dated, and she appreciated the way I treated my ex when we were dating. So she thinks highly of me in that respect. However, in just casual friend terms, we don't really know each other at all. We're in chemistry class together, and she laughs at my jokes and stuff. However, I hear her talking to her friend about hot guys she likes and how she went out to dinner with one the night before, and how she's deciding which one is better. She is very pretty and none of my friends would make fun of me at all if I took her to prom.
Girl 4 - This is Girl 3's "friend" I was referring to. She is in my chemistry class as well, but we know each other a little better. We actually have full-blown conversations, one's that I don't initiate, either. One time she even came and said hi to me at work, however I don't know if that was just a coincidence or if she actually meant to see me. She laughs at all my jokes as well and I know how to make her smile. However I often hear her talking to her friends about her opinion on the way guys should treat girls, and her mindset just seems different than mine. She is also very preppy and seems a little high-maintenance.
Also, I just don't know if I want to go because of the simple fact that my ex will be there. With such a small number of people going it will be hard to avoid her.
Lately, for some reason, unknown to me, every time my ex is around me, I get really pissed off. Even if she's not doing anything. It get's even worse when she tries to talk to me. I'm just thinking like "Wtf why are you talking to me? What do you want? Go away."
Blah. I could have just written a novel.
Anyway... what should I do? I don't have much time...
