Some claim the girl in the video is really a guy, others claim she is an "alien."

If she's a guy, where does the red glow come from?

If she's an alien, why does she what she says in the beginning about "My dad wanted a boy, but he got me," and why is it when he looks DOWN that he reacts the way he does? 0.o

Some claim the band stated it was the first thing, others claim the band said it was the second thing. I'm just wondering what your thoughts are. 0.o

Well, after watching it (by the way, love this song)...
I think that she's not necessarily and alien or a guy. The way that everything is shown, they talk alot about the "reds" which was what Americans used to call the communists. Although, an alien or a super clone would make a lot more sense. Seeing as she said that she said, "I think my dad wanted a boy...." She doesn't know why her family doesn't trust her. She was probably adopted into the family, and they keep moving so that the "reds" don't catch them. Or, so that they can catch her. You know?

Yeah, I was thinking something like that. Its just, interesting. I kind of like that the video is thought provoking and up to interpretation. You can really see it as anything and not be "wrong."

yeah, true.
there are a lot of bands that have that kind of goal: to make you think.
although, you probably wouldn't have expected video like that with a song like this, you know?

Yeah, true. The video wasn't exactly what I was expecting with the song, but I still like both, just in different ways.
