What do you guys reccomend as a good photo editing softwear? Photoshop® has many different versions, and they range from $100-- $1,00's of dollars. I dont want to buy crap, but I cant spend $1,000+ on a softwear thing. Any advice would help!

It's really nice, although it's not Photoshop.
Honestly, if anyone else in your family is interested in photo editing, I would buck up and save with them, so you can buy the full thing. Nothing really compares to it for free.

Just a reminder guys, promoting illegal activities is not allowed (that includes illegal distribution of software). If you are unsure, contact a moderator.

I think Gimp is a great alternative. I have it :D

If you ever need brushes you can try to find good ones at Deviantart.com

I Recommend Adobe Photoshop CS4 (or CS3) Extended, but you can also try Corel
