As all of the '1000 posts!' or 'I has been on VT fur 1 yar' are getting themselves in TWPR, I feel it would be useful to have a subforum inside TWPR (which guests are restricted to) for people to post these achievements).

What do you think?

I think just a forum for achievements in general is really cool...

Its not a huge deal right now I dont think. TWPR is fine for them, it's not overcrowded.

Rex has a diary for that already too :P

Use Rex's diary...it's what it is for...VT Accomplishments (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=196)

I voted 'no'. Just post them in the diary forum we already have.
I think its the best and most efficient way.

Okay diaries aren't really forums that new members are going to go in. No one has even posted in that diary.

Maybe that diary should be moved somewhere more visible so that people can see it before posting one of those in TWPR, because I have never seen Rex's diary before.

Maybe you should lead the pack and be the first person to post in there :D

Once again, I don't want to sound all conservative but, its worked for 5 years so far why add some official forum to brag.

If you own a diary then use your diary to post achievements. If you utilize your blog, use your blog. If you don't for either, post it in the diary we already have for it.

Also, there is no official rules for posting it in TWPR yet, so just post it in there, just remember that people won't be all too happy :P

Surely it would be easier just to have it all in one place?

But why do people feel the need to brag anyway?

Exactly Jared!

It's a good idea to have one however I reckon the diary is a alternative and is already established in the VT forums.

It's filling up TWPR is the point.

Lol, sorry, I meant to make my diary a bit more public, and was going to recruit some people to accomplish things to post, but being lazy as I am I never got around to it. :P

I'll try to make it go somewhere. Really, though, a forum for this is not needed, I just got incredibly annoyed seeing all the accomplishment threads clogging up TWPR when there are more meaningful things.

No one sees your diary Rex. It doesn't really stand out.

Well it does as in if you view diary's its there like everyone elses, also its sometimes featured on the homepage in that random diary thing.

Also the TWPR doesn't need "filled up" its there for everything else like what people are up to and general chat.

Achievements are nice to post up however on a forum as active as this. We have a badge system which kinda represents achievements like 5000+, 25+ etc.

Anything else really fits in diary of achievements, blogs or the persons diary.

We've had them where they are for the past 5 bloody years. Does it REALLY matter where they go? NO

And there's already a diary which is what often happens when people want a forum for a specific topic.

Your wanting a sub forum in TWPR for people to post achievements in.

Rex has a diary already for achievements, yeh it means to post an achievement it requires a few more clicks however they still appear under new posts and else what.

Also it still is counted towards your post count if thats what your wanting as well, your post count to go up when you post an achievement.

This feature your describing does exist, just not the way you want it.

I've heard enough of it...

Kinda got the point. You don't want it.

I can't word what I'm trying to say because I'm not working properly...

So...

Yeah.

I don't need to be told the same thing so many times.

I know its hard because many are disagreeing, I'll stop nagging on about it tonight, wait until there's more of a side on you then we can discuss it.

It's a good idea and I've got nothing against you, just the idea isn't something I see a need for.

Another thing is, I see 2-4 threads a month at most about achievements.
That's nowhere near enough to support a forum, to be honest; even 2-4 a week wouldn't be enough.

Maybe a sticky in The Arcade for all achievements?

ilence;494032']But why do people feel the need to brag anyway?

Because getting the most amount of posts on an internet forum is a big deal to many people. It's the internet, let people brag, it's not like it's anything big. Wow, you got 1,000 posts? Yeah, whatever, who cares? It's the internet.

I could see this happening, but not now. I think that TWPR will work for right now. Until it gets over crowded, I could see it happening, but you can post it in Rex's diary or a blog or TWPR. So I'll vote "no".
