Shoe size

Hi, im 15, 5'6", and i have size 9 shoes, the same as my dad who is 6', i was wondering if shoe size has any correlation to your height, and if normally your feet grow before your body?

Well I don't know... I'm about six foot and have size 11 feet

To a degree yes, your shoe size is collerlated with your height, to keep you balanced and to keep the strain off your ankles.

Some correlation is obviously noticeable comparing the foot size to the height of the person we are talking about several times. We looked at this in class, made a scatter graph and found there was a strong correlation. Therefore, I think they are related to each other. As Adam said above, probably due to keeping you balanced.

My class has made graphs about this too, and found the same thing :) I'm sure other people have looked this up too, and have seen the same results.

yea im 5'7" and wear a 10.5

I'm near 5'6-5'9 with a size 15, so i doubt very much it does compared to you, my feet are 6 sizes bigger, and i'm two years younger.
