Do I have premature ejaculation?

Hey guys, I'm back again, none of you will know me, of course.

Ummm I have a question.... eugh, I always find these posts so hard to word. Well, I want to know if I perhaps have premature ejaculation... You see, I've watched pornography on websites and seen some men just go on and on... I mean they can last so long! Whereas I reckon I wouldn't even last more than 2 minutes, based on the short amount of time it takes for me to orgasm when masturbating. What is the average time it takes for some of the other people here? Do I not last long enough? I really need to know.

Some of the guys in porn seem to last unrealistic lengths of time considering how hard they go at it. You cant tell how much editing has gone on and whether they stopped for pauses to make it last longer. I wouldnt worry too much.

The actual definition of premature ejaculation varies depending on what your source is. But, basically, it's uncontrolled ejaculation usually within less than a minute of thrusting in actual intercourse. FWIW, based on the many studies, actual thrusting in sex usually lasts under 15 minutes.

Keep a few things in mind:

1) Masturbation is not at all like actual sex. The sensations are dramatically different, the experience is different, and your response will be different. You cannot generalize from your j/o experience to sex. Masturbation does give you valuable experience with your body and it's reaction to stimulation which you can use later on with sex, but it's not a linear comparison.

2) Porn is NOT educational. What you see there is NOT at all indicative or representative of real sex. It's acting, it's for entertainment. The guys last a long time b/c they either hold back, are not typically aroused (it's acting, afterall, they have no feelings for the person they're sexing), and perhaps most typically, they've masturbated before shooting the scene, thereby allowing them to prolong things.

Do not worry about premature ejaculation at this point in your life. When the time comes, you'll perform just fine, and with additional time and experience, will gain the necessary controls to last as long as you and your partner want.

It all comes with experience my friend. Guys in porn have been having sex for years and years, its their jobs. This makes them used to it and they don't get nearly as excited as someone who is new to sex would. Anyone who is having sex for the first few times is going to cum quickly, its just the way it is. But when time goes on and you become more accustomed to it, you will last longer.

premature ejaculation is where you ejaculate before you do anything at the slightest touch. for example, a kiss could cause you to ejaculate if you have premature-ejaculation as a problem. the OP of this thread does not have premature ejaculation, he just orgasms quickly.

Firstly, never use porn as a basis of reality as the posters above correctly mentioned that it can be cut and altered to make things appear differently. Also, you need to keep in mind that sex and masturbation are totally different things as orgams generally happen faster during masturbation whereas during sex orgasms take longer to reach. Most guys orgasm pretty quickly during masturbation, and you are hardly alone in that area.

Basically, premature ejaculation is a very, very rare condition in teens/young adults, and it is unlikely that you have that problem. Don't use pornography as a basis for reality as it is artificial.

Hey guys, thanks alot for the responses, it's really nice to be reassured. I don't think I have PE. But it's a little frustrating to see on that j/o poll that some people can last so long when masturbating :(.
