I have known for a while (longer than I would like to admit to myself) that I was bi. The thing is, today when we were having a day of silence at school for gays lesbians bisexuals and transgender people, my friend was doing it too. The thing is, I kept catching myself looking at her smile and silent laugh and thinking how almost radiant she looked.
I know that sounds insanely sappy, but I really think I like her.
I know she would not be freaked out if she knew I was bi, but how do I know if she is at all?
I will not tell her unless I know and I do not think that she is but I could be wrong?
What should I do...?

Well if your good freinds with her try to just bring it up in casual conversation. I mean don't just out right go hey are you bi. just start talking to her and so how things unravel with her.:D

I just do not want to seem really awkward or eager to know or something.
I feel like that would freak me out if someone did it to me...

There are 2 ways of finding out ANY piece of info: 1) ask them directly, and 2) Wait and see what they (eventually) reveal.
Option #1 is the most direct, and fastest. But also the most risky, you don't know how they'll react to the question (or your reason for asking). Option #2takes a bit longer, but is safer b/c you find the info out before you self disclose anything that could change things, for better or worse.
Most people eventually reveal who they are, about most things, btw. If you give it some time and tolerate your own feelings of curiosity and urgency, it's often a much better way. And, regardless if the info you get, you can make a friend along the way. Regardless of how it pans out.
