Well, I want to get to know girls better and try and have a relationship with one (girlfriend relationship). I am very shy though and would just like to know of any ways of how not to be a creeper guy when talking to someone you don't even know. I'm not sure if this makes sense to you or I for that matter, but I just don't want to be labelled as a "creeper guy".
Additional Facts:
-the girl I like/want to know better is a year younger
-I know she is athletic as she wears Sport Team Jackets
Thanks in Advance.

hmmm, so do you have any contact with her at all. like through school, or other activties or anything? if you do, then thats a good place to start. just go up to her and say "hi". you say she wears sports team jackets. maybe you can talk about that sports team, at least you would know its something she is interested in. the main thing is to take things slow and become her friend first before you even think about her as a girlfriend. by becoming friends first you can develop your friendship and get to know eachother better. then you might get a better idea from her about how she feels about you. just remember that the best relationships start out as friendships and if for some reason things don't work out and she's not interested, then at least you got a new friend out of it, which can sometimes be better anyways.

Don't keep asking questions, talk about something that she's interested in. Since she's interested in sports, you can ask her if she participates in any sports and then you have a topic to talk about right there.
the main thing is to take things slow and become her friend first before you even think about her as a girlfriend.
Then you're instantly in the friend zone, though I'm assuming that the OP is young, so it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen.
