I don't mean 'reincarnation' as in any religious type or interpretation. But do you think that a kind of reincarnation exists?
I think it's actually quite possible. I think it's possible that when someone dies, they somehow are reborn as a totally different mind and conscience.. and thus a different living being. Just not having any memories or connections whatsoever to their "past life".
The reason being is.. how exactly am I.. me? How come I'm this person, and not nobody or someone else? How come somebody else isn't me? It's really hard to explain. (sorry if nobody understands that)
Most people who aren't religious and don't believe in some form of after-death experience just believe once you're dead, it's just the very end. That's all, that's it. But for some reason I just feel that isn't so.. maybe it's wishful thinking.
Yeah, kso, what are your views?

No, and even if it was possible you will never remember and thus cannot prove it is possible. Yes its a nice thing to hope for but honestly very hard to think about (confusing)

It's not completely impossible if you believe in souls. Souls are energy and energy can't be created nor destroyed so they will either float around on earth or be transfered into a new vessel.

I have yet to hear someone start a sentence with "in my previous life...."

I think it's a cool concept, but not that possible.
Not impossible mind you, just very unlikely.

Whether souls exist or not I would still picture it logistically impossible, as reincarnation doesn't account for growing populations. If every soul is recycled and reborn after death, how does one explain the overall growing number of living organisms on earth?

There have been people saying that they've lived other lives and omg started a sentence with that exact phrase.

"There's no rational answer for this, so let's attribute it to the supernatural."

Ok so the kid can say that his plane crashed and by golly it started on fire and the could recall an enemy of the US from a past war? Wow i wish i was as smart as him. He looked pretty good at those video games and you would be surprised what he learned from them. Any 4 year old boy who was that interested in any topic be it trains to stars is going to know information on his topic of choice. Maybe he is a future genius. Oh man maury is on now, you may want to go watch seeing as you believe anything you see on abc news.

That last rude comment was uncalled for and if your going to continue to make them then you shouldn't debate.

Yes i was uncalled for but it was initiated by your sarcastic remarks and general cocky attitude. By the way if im not mistaken this should have been addressed in a pm.

Reincarnation is the cycle of birth and death,
And the idea originated in the Hindu religion.
You're forever in this cycle until you can break free of the 4 wants:
Pleasure, Success, Duty and Freedom.
Don't quote me on this, but
If all 7 points of your Chakra are all up on the crown of your head when you die,
Then that is when you are free of the cycle, or the Hindu term: Moksha.
So no.
I don't believe in reincarnation since I'm Atheist,
Not Hindu.
Once you're dead, you're dead.
Reincarnation is impractical because if you're reborn once you die, there should only be the same amount of people alive as there were when the human race came to be. Meaning, in theory, there should be absolutely no population growth.
