I have no idea if this goes here...again...but most people read this instead of anything else in virtualteen haha, anyway:

Usually when i sit down to use the pc i go with my routine: myspace, facebook blahblahblah so when im done i find myself constantly looking at porn, why? cause im bored but i wanna stop doing that cuz i know one of these days ill get caught and my life will be miserable if that happens. SO my question here is what exactly can i do to take my mind off porn? i have many games on the pc but ive finished them all, i need new ones. So any of you guys have any suggestions for games or something?

P.S. Now that i think about it this is totally puberty unrelated but i dont really know where it belongs and as i said before most people read this instead of anything else in virtualteen so mods please dont lock :D

Well, as you said, you DO need something else to do... Do you have steam installed, or not?... You can get very good games there, and if you buy them on weekends, you save some money lol (thanks to Steam's Weekend Discount), plus they give you some free games just for signing up (Peggle Extreme and Trackmania Nations Forever are free, plus if you have an ATi or nVidia Graphics Card, you get HL2 Deathmatch and Lost Coast)...

If you want, send me a PM and I can help you with the Steam account, and we could play something there too lol

OH well my bro has it installed...but he hasnt fixed the only problem that doesnt let me play with steam...something about being installed in program files or something, he knows how to fix it but he hasnt >.<. Also half life internet servers are pretty much dead...

P.S. my bro is the owner of the pc and my accout has limited something....

There shouldn't be any problems running Steam from it's default Program Files directory, mine's installed there lol... only thing he has to do is activate Steam's service if it isn't running yet, remove the special permissions from the Steam folder (Steam does that itself when activating the service, Admin access is needed to do that)...

Since you are on a User/Limited Access account, you might have some problems installing stuff (if Windows XP, but there are workarounds, WinXP isn't exactly safe on that matter lol) or you won't be able to install most games (if Vista)...

PS: Don't listen to Jonathan M., unless you have an unlimited calls service lol, phone bills aren't fun lol... but you could always to with a GF/BF through MSN lol

PPS: In the mean time, you could also try Good Old Games... old games run mostly fine, and the only thing some of them need to run on Vista (DOSBox) doesn't need admin permission to run... gog.com

mabey when your tempted go to the bathroom and silently masterbate? that should take your mind off porn... what you could also do is kind of complex, but it should also work...
make a tab on the window that you have porn on for myspace, and make another window for facebook. when you hear someone coming quickly switch your porn to the myspace tab and click onto the face book window. then if the look down onto the windows all the'll see is myspace and facebook. :D

You could set up a filter to only allow certain sites and be strict with yourself. If you have downloaded porn, delete it, if you have a favourite porn site, block it. Self control.

Also games... Mass Effect should keep you going for a little while :)

For starters, porn isn't unhealthy or anything. Watching porn every so often is natural for lot's of teens. It's just hormones.

If you really do want to stop watching porn, It's not just games you need, it's WILLPOWER and DETERMINATION.
You need to have the willpower and determination to say to yourself 'No, instead of watching porn now, i will turn of my computer and do something else' (Read, watch TV, go for a walk, exercise, ect). After all, not only will you be saving yourself from porn, but it will be helping you're eyesite :D;)
Saying this. Don't stop yourself from porn all the time. Maybe just stop yourself from watching porn for 2 days a week.. then 3.. then 4. And keep going on like that. Give yourself 1 day or so a week to carry on watching it if you really do want to.

This is a hard question, and the basic answer to your issue is one of self control. The suggestions made by "Donkey" are your best bet, and outright blocking porn websites are your best bet if you know that you would get into trouble seeing them. Just to add one thing to the mix, keep in mind that porn websites which are not reputable can often damage PCs by covertly installing malware and bringing on viruses, so if you like your computer, then protecting it should be a good enough reason to avoid porn especially if getting a new computer is something you cannot do easily. Find substitutes for porn such as magazines that have pictures of people you find attractive without their actually being pornographic. If you are into girls, then there are plenty of things at which you can look which are not porn which your parents would not think twice about your having. For example, a department store flier with pictures of women as well as many other products is a good thing to use especially this time of year with spring and summer products being advertised. There are so many other things you can use such as regular magazines you can get off the shelf of a regular store, and even a Maxim magazine is not necessarily a bad thing, too, as there honestly is a lot of informational stuff in it alongside the pictures of women.

When it is all said and done it is going to take self control on your part as well as finding acceptable substitutes for porn to make this work.

What you can do is go into your computer and make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to look at porn. Use your content control on your pc and set it to no nudity or vulgar pics. that should hopefully work. If you are constantly deined entrance to porn sites your mind will hopefully become trained not to wanna look at it

I would advise a child blocking system, however they block many sites including this probably so that is not a good idea.

Now what I'm going to tell you to do is a bit complicated so I will say it as simply as possible.

Go to your /windows/system32/drivers/etc/ folder inside your hard drive. Now open the file 'hosts'. Use notepad to do that.

At the bottom, add: 127.0.0.1 [porn site link here]

Example, if you wanted to block VirtualTeen you would put: 127.0.0.1 www.virtualteen.org


Put as many as you like there.
