I'm liking Tupac, Eminem, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent right now? Who do you think is better (and please don't post how you hate rap, I wasn't asking if you like it or not)?

Who is better out of Pac, Em, Jay & 50? The best out of them all is Tupac, then Jay, then Em, and then 50, but I don't think he's one of the best rappers alive.
I think on the subject of best lyrics for modern day rap, I would have to choose Wayne, because his lyrics are truely different in an amazing way. For best beats, I would definitely have to give it up to Kanye. The award diversity would have to be split between Wayne & Kanye.
Where Eminem is concerned, I don't think he's necessarily the best rapper alive, but his flow is undeniable. I'm definitely not hating.
Rap is my thing.

Keep in mind kanye is not a rapper more a hip-hop artist and wayne is no where near a
Amazing. He makes his money because he is mainstream, and tes i do like to lil wayne, everyday fyi.
Now onto 50 cent he is mediocre at best, he was good when he was not doing anything but then he made a tv show and he sucked again. He had 1 good cd (hate it or love it) otherwise the rest is crap.
The best rappers according to lyrics has to be young jeezy, ti, and lupe fiasco (though he is half hip-hop)

Immortal Technique is the only "rapper" I can tolerate, although I suppose it's not really rap.
That's because his lyrics mean something, not "I grew up in the ghetto life was hard I sold drugs now I got them hos".

Chronic Future considers themselves "experimental rock," but they have some rap in them.
I like Eminem a little (I'm not a huge fan of rap) and I like Fort Minor a little too. I appreciate Kanye but I agree that he's more hip hop than rap. And I appreciate most rappers, as what they do (in some cases) isn't always easy [and I write rap SOMETIMES, mainly because rap and poetry aren't that different, and I love rhyming; that and apparently I'm one of the best white guys at rapping in my school. Strangely enough I discovered that two days ago when one of my friends sarcastically asked me to rap something I just wrote at lunch; so I did and I ended up receiving a standing ovation. 0.o].
I'm more into bands like Gorillaz, Chronic Future, and Hollywood Undead though, who kind of mix rap and rock though. (Gorillaz does all sorts of shit though)
That and one of my favorite bands is Flobots who technically rap, because their lyrics have true meaning to the world we live in today.

Rap is basically hip-hop. Hip-hop is a culture and rap is part of that culture. Sorry I just hate when people are like "he's rap not hip-hop", when they're the same thing pretty much.
Anyways, I would say that 50 cent shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Jay, Pac and Em. And out of those rappers I think Jay is the best. My favorite rappers alive though are Lupe Fiasco and Blu. If you wanna talk about best rappers ever though, there are sooo many, it's hard to just choose one. Lil Wayne definitely isn't one of them though imo.

Biggie is the king. He's the legend. Tupac is a close 2nd, but I love Biggie's flow and his lyrics are just amazing.
3rd, I'd go with Nas. 4th, Method Man. 5th, Kool G Rap.
I know Kool G Rap wasn't as big as them, but it makes no sense that he wasn't. He had untouchable lyrics, sick beats, and a mafia flow. Listen to this....

I dont see how people can say lil wayne is diverse when every other rhyme is either a metaphore or a similie. Yes i enjoy listening to him very much (every day) but he is just mainstream and that is wht he gets so much attention.
