Hi... I am 16. By now i should be getting a decent beard, but it takes me like a week to grow something thats even visible. But lately ive gotten taller and somewhat more muscular, but at the same time my penis does NOT seem to be growing as fast as it should. And i never really got a voice break, my voice just kinda gradually deepened (and its not even that deep yet), and i kinda have a baby face (ppl say i look 13 sometimes).

Im hoping this is just delayed puberty, and that i got stronger because i work out. But i really wonder what the hell is going on sometimes. I would really appreciate some kind of an answer...

Thanks a lot for your time guys.

Hi, welcome to VT :)

Right, well first off the beard. Most people I know dont have a decent beard (im 16 as well), infact out of 5 of my best friends, only 2 of us have to shave every few days. Some people just dont get big beards, not yet anyway. And when i shave, I have a baby face as well. A REALLY baby face! (So do quite a few boys in my year. I dont think your problem is a 'baby face', you just have a really good complexion)

Now the penis. There is no set way for them to grow, they just do. And it will be growing, but because you see it everyday you dont notice.

Lastly, the voice. Very few people get an actual break (like Homer Simpson when he's in the church choir). Usually your voice will slide like yours, mine did. Again it's all about perception. You hear your voice everyday so you cant really tell how deep it is.

In conclusion, you're fine. Abcolutley fine. Just hang in there like everyone else! :)

It's normal because people have different growth rates. Don't worry you're fine

I think you are just a late bloomer but its OK! I am too. I'm 20 and I've only been having to shave my face regularly for about a year and a half.

I'm not sure I'd characterize your development as 'delayed'. It sounds more like your expectations might be a bit unreasonable.

If you've got some beard development, mucular develpment, height increase, and penis/pubic development, you're clearly in puberty. And, at 16, based on your description, you're probably at the right points, too.

Puberty is a gradual, ongong process fo development, give it time. The hormones which control the process are there, it will take a bit more time (which you have) for you to reach the final destinations, as puberty doesn't end until around age 20 or so.
