K. (never had period yet) A month ago, I had this brownish stuff flow for like 5 days, and my Mom thought it was my period, and asked me if it ever got red, but it didn't. It was a reddish/brownish, but mostly brown. It literally looked like poop, which is just gross. I'm guessing it was my period. Oh and if you never had sex before, what age do you usually have to go get a breast and pelvic exam? Never had sex, won't until I'm married. I mean, it's not worth it. I don't want to be stuck with some damn disease. People should really think about it. You can still make out, but who wants herpes? They last your whole life people, and they are PAINFUL. All of my family on my Dad's side have them. They break out when u r stressed, and it would really suck to have them. Plus, your not as attractive, because they are some times more noticable than a zit or too. I guess it's okay to have sex w/ condoms, but I wouldn't take the risk. Back to my questions, any one know?

it sounds like a period to me. seriously, if you were pooping, you would know. because when you have a period you are not only releasing blood, but also other things too, it can look brownish and that is totally normal. i'm pretty sure what you are describing is your period.

What you've describe is basically the same as my first period. I didn't realise until it happened again a month later :whoops: -The same for my friend too.

Your first will often be more brown than red and once you regulate, you'll notice that it'll be more brown towards the end of it.

Be aware of this because it often takes about a year to regulate and until then they can be sooo unpredictable.

I suggest preparing a small emergency pack (spare undies, some tissues and a couple of pads in a little washbag or something). This way, you'll never get caught in an embarrassing situation at school or on a day out. It also comes in handy for your friends too, as some of them may not expect their periods either.

Period, I'd say.
That's how my first period was. I didn't notice because it was brown not red, but over time it changed.
