Are you suggesting that you get hair from rubbing against things?
I've never heard this before.
We have hair cuz that's just how we are.
Idk if there is really a very logical explination why other than we evolved from earlier people that were harier then we are now

This is a good question, and I think there are all sorts of answers you can get. My thinking is that pubic hair for both sexes is an outward sign of sexual maturity, and maybe in the distant past when our ancestors were not able to communicate in the way we do now they used external features such as hair to tell the women from the girls.
As for why we have hair on our testicles, keep in mind that hair is designed to preserve warmth in our body, and when we hit puberty and start producing sperm the testicles becoming vitally important. While the testicles hang outside of the body because the internal body temperature is too hot for them the reality is that they need some heat, and the hair keeps the testicles warm during times when they are exposed.

Pubic hair for both genders is a sign of sexual maturity, it's a display, like the peacock's plume or the robin's red breast. It's all over the pubic region and anus to announce sexual maturity and therefore availability. It serves no other function, it offers little protection or warmth, if that was the case, we'd be born with it!
