Some people use lubricant, it is simply personal preference. Some like it, others don't

Lube is a liquid substance that acts as a glide between one's hand and one's penis shaft to reduce friction that can result when the dry skin on one's hand comes into contact with an equally dry penis shaft. When a dry hand comes into contact with a dry penis shaft it can stretch out the skin thus causing cuts.

While there is actual sexual lube like Astroglide many other household products such as creams and lotions can be used as lubes.

Yep those above ^ explained lube, i dont really use it. I masturbate in the shower and agree with water being like lube. if you start dry on the toilet or something and then get in the shower it feels amazing. but i dont use lube like ky or hand cream or whatever like that
