BINGO! The issue here is that they do not belong to you, so you should return them (or ask him to if you can keep them). This is not so much a sexual/masturbatory issue as it is just a basic decency one. Keeping them is really like stealing, which isn't a good thing, and isn't something you should give yourself permission for, even if it's very tempting.

In all honesty here my thinking is that you might have a foot fetish here, and perhaps you are attracted to your friend's feet. There is no logic to fetishes, and a foot fetish is one of the most common ones out there. It is not the most hygenic thing in the world to masturbate with used socks, and I would not do so if I were you.

These two posters made excellent posts, and in the end of the day those socks don't belong to you. If you are honestly attracted to your friend's feet, then use your imagination and not something that belongs to him. As mentioned above, you should return his socks to him assuming you have not masturbated in them already.
