I went to try and sleep last night and my legs would keep tightening up and putting me in really bad pain. It kept me from sleeping let alone relaxing and it just wouldn't stop for almost an hour. I don't cry very easily, but that had me in tears and my legs still ache this morning from whatever they were doing last night.

Anyone ever heard of this?

I get leg spasms in the night sometimes. Usually just like a one-off thing on each occasion, not over a period of time, but it is very painful, like you say it makes me want to cry. Sometimes, not always, I have like a dead leg for most of the next day. Its not uncommon, google it.

Oh, are these the one's where your calf gets really hard and your toes seperate and you just want to die and be put out of your misery? Those are awful!

Typically, they're the result of overexertion. Drink lots of water (which washes the natural by products of muscle exertion out of your system), warm baths, and bananas (really). Bananas are full of potassium, a key mineral in muscle functioning. After exertion, there's a depletion of it, which, combined with the excess of muscle waste products, and dehydration, can cause the cramping.

If this doesn't work in a couple of days, ask your folks for an OTC antiinflammatory, like Aleve.
