The wetness in a girls vagina is like lube. It is to make sex/pleasure more comfortable for both the girl and boy. I'm not really sure WHY they squirt, but i guess it's just how they were made.

It doesn't really have a function. What it is is girl have a fluid in them that's like the male ejaculate minus the sperm. It's there as a natural lube, i.e. when girls get wet. What happens when girls squirt is when they orgasm the muscle contractions sometimes push that fluid out.

The main reason is for a lubricant to allow the penis to penetrate more easily
