fourteen IS young. and you shouldnt be doing it until you are mentally prepared.
If you are not, then you shouldn't even be considering it. *not saying that you are*

1) To be honest, i think you'll find that not many people in you're grade are actually doing it. They are all lying. I'm 14, and i've lost my virginity. I lost it AT 14, and it was only about 6 weeks ago. Other then me, in my whole year (and there are roughly 270 boys and girls) only around 10-20 have ACTUALLY lost it. Don't be pressured into losing it. Also, The legal age for sex is between 16-18.
2) To masturbate i usually use just a hairbrush. Make sure whatever you use is safe, and make sure you wash it before and afterwards very carefully and well.

Just to make this clear. Not everyone actually regrets it. I don't regret loosing mine, because i fancied the person. Yes, people do regret it sometimes after/later on in life, but not EVERYONE.

The "right' time to have sex is when you're ready, and everyone defines that differently based on their needs. Personally, sex is best when it's with someone who've you've got a committed emotional relationship with, and that takes time. Having gotten thru puberty so you've got all the equipment working at its best is a good idea, too.

I'd doubt that "Everyone" in your grade is sexually active. More likely, everyone is lying thru their teeth. Based on statistics, 50% of 16 y/o are virgins, and the most recent study, reported in The New York Times, indicates that LESS teenagers are becoming sexually involved, and when they do, it is later, and with partners they are more committed to.

When you're ready, you'll know. Regardless of the bragadoccio you're hearing about from your friends.
