Depends really, what type of domain are you after? .co.uk. .com .us?

I've always used http://www.123-reg.co.uk/

I'm looking for a .com and I only have about $3 right now so I probably wont find anything until I get at least $10.

I always use www.GoDaddy.com
You probably won't find any .com domains for 3 dollars, but GoDaddy sells .info for $00.99 not including the 15c (I think) check or whatever.

Godaddy is the best, great and cheap prices, great support, lots of domains names (.com, net, co.uk,me,etc), and has paypal support to pay

I'll need a domain name pretty soon as well.

And a webhost. : (

Anyone knows decent webhosts that don't charge too much? Preferably with mySQL support but since my database skills suck ass it's not really necessary.

or for VPS hosting (much better):

Yeah VPS is better but he is asking for a cheap hosting and the VPS is not that cheap as a shared webhosting

I use Cirtex hosting. http://www.cirtexhosting.com/shared.shtml

Their cheapest plan for $2.99 a month includes 5GB space, 100GB badwidth, unlimited domains, unlimited ftp accounts, video script hosting, 5 pop3 email accounts, cpanel.. loads more. It's great.

Wikispaces is free! I just make a new one for different projects, and you can actually do a lot with it, expecially for it being free. www.wikispaces.com
and if you say it is being used for educational purposes, google won't display adds on your page. it has never actually checked to make sure it is being used for such purposes.
