Do your parents know about your religion and your beliefs (Or lack thereof)?
My mom knows about me and she is okay with it, as long as I don't label myself as Agnostic, or start worshiping the devil. I actually told her today, and I thought she was going to be disappointed in me, but she wasn't at all.
I thanked her for not shoving beliefs down my throat while I was growing up.
I am curious to know about the rest of VT.

I'm agnostic. I put no because I haven't specifically told anyone in my family, but I'm sure they know I'm not a committed religious person.

My whole family knows I'm atheist. They don't really care, since on their best day my family is only a little religious.

I told my parents, but that was probably a mistake. My mom called me arrogant(FTW?) to assume that God doesn't exist, but thankfully hasn't mentioned it since. My dad has been trying to convert me to some Taoist off-shoot religion that he came up with, and that's just really annoying.

Do your parents know about your religion and your beliefs (Or lack thereof)? Im Athiest, My Mom Doesnt Like It, She Wants To Force Her Beliefs On Me, Always Says She Is Going To Take Me To Church, She Thinks Screamo Is The Devils Music, She Blames It On That And On My Cousin, My Dad, I Don't Know, He Lives In Texas, Since My Parents Are Divorced, I Don't Think My Dad Would Be Happy About It Either.

Mine know, they don't give much of a shit, really. I've actually gotten them to think about religion and beliefs even more so since I came out with it.

I'm agnostic and my mum and most of my family knows.
Only people I don't tell are friends because the common stereotype would be "worshipping the devil" and I don't want that spread around the school/around my friends because its untrue.

Nah, the folks don't know that my brother and I are atheists. They're hypocrites because they call themselves Christian but do not follow anything that they believe; mostly my father.

My parents are well aware and most of my family are agnostics or atheists, with some christians and catholics. They don't really care because I have reasons for not believing; if I had no reasons, then they'd be more annoyed. However, they weren't too thrilled when I was practicing theistic satanism and laveyan satanism (they didn't understand this one but many of the philosophies i use in my atheistic views). My father is, well, an extremely weak christian, sometimes flopping to agnostic. I'm not entirely sure on his view, it seems to be a mixture of christianity and agnostic but more towards agnostic.

My father is the only other person in my family who knows I'm an atheist; since he's "in the closet" about his beliefs as well. My cousin is an atheist, but he's about to have his first child, and apparently has been thinking about going to church (I'd never subject my kids to that! :D) but I haven't told him because of that. My mother and grandmother are very hardcore-fundamentalist Christians, so I'd never be able to tell them until I get out of this house. I'm planning on telling them once I'm in university.

Why don't you tell him, and try to convince him not to let his kid be indocrinated?

I think I might have to, but then again I don't want to severely damage my current "comfortable" situation at home. I know that's selfish, but its only going to be a year from now when I'm out of the house and on my own. By that time, the baby will only be 1 year old... don't think he'll have him indoctrinated by then.

They know.
They're fine with it.
I told them years ago.
My mum handled it well when I told her.
Dad was a jackass about it a first,
But he's become more accepting.

Agnostic or atheist believes in demons? Lucifer is an fallen angel created by God...but because of his pride and arrogance he was banished from heaven falling to earth like a lightning. Atheism or agnosticism is nothing but cry of wrath against God.

Atheists do not believe in demons. Agnostics are more or less "sitting on the fence", as they don't believe but don't deny the possibility. I have no clue what the talk of Lucifer has to do with atheism or agnosticism.
Technically, I can say the equal and opposite: Christianity is nothing but a cry of wrath against disbelief. Sounds silly but it goes to show that two can play at that game.
And the reason that is apparently is a cry of wrath against God is because the bible (written in the word of God) says or implies that? Not the best of logic.

I am atheist and surprisingly, my parents do not suspect that I am. Both my parents are religious, go to church every Sunday at 8 AM, Holy Days of Obligation, etc. My dad is Filipino, and if you didn't know, nearly 90% of Filipinos are Christian, so it doesn't work well for me. I have no reason to tell them as of yet. However, I am about to begin Confirmation, and I'm not sure if I can go through it without getting this off my chest. I have told numerous classmates, they seem fine with it when off-topic, but get annoyed when I start debating religion with them.

Well, I'm atheist but my mom doesn't know, I don't really wanna tell them 'cause I come from a religous family. I was talking with my mom one day and she was like "So.....What do you think we should do for Easter?" I was like "I don't know, do we really have to celebrate it?" She's like "Do you believe in God?" I was like "Uh.......sure..." She's like "Well if you don't then that means that I didn't raise you right!" So yeah......

I'm agnostic, don't really believe in any of the current main religious ideas though.
I think my parents and most of my family are the same, they've never forced any kind of religion on me and they've always said that they don't mind which religion, if any, I might join.

If you read your scripture you'd realize that the story of lucifer isn't in the bible, thus it isnt something that is fundamental in the christian church. In the second vatican council Pope John the 23rd denounced lucifer (or the devil) as merely a scare tactic to bring back heretics.

I'm athiest and all my family know; 2 of them being religious themselves and they don't care. At least, I didn't have to put up with any shit from them because of it. That's one thing that Christians do far too much in my experience.

Yeah, I'm perfectly just like you!
Btw, is there a difference between atheist and agnostic? Or there isn't any difference? Agnostic is a new word for me, so please understand :)

Atheism is the general disbelief of a god(s)/goddess(es). There's monoatheism and polyatheism.
Agnostic is the general disbelief BUT still accepting the possibility of the existence of a god(s)/goddess(es), whereas an atheist does not accept this possibility.

Agnosticism pisses me off because so many wishy-washy (weak) atheists call themselves agnostics because they're afraid of the "atheist label". Agnosticism has NOTHING to do with what you believe, its referring to knowledge. If you're Gnostic, that means "with knowledge" and agnostic of course is "without knowledge". So I'm an atheist because I LACK BELIEF in a god, and I'm gnostic (strong atheist) in regards to gods that are man-made because of how impossible/contradictory they are. I'd still be agnostic in terms of some sort of god that humanity has yet to describe since you can't know anything in this universe with the kind of certainty for me to say no gods absolutely exist. However (this is where belief comes in) I don't believe that there are any such things as gods, and it is an entirely fabricated human idea.
If you are calling yourself an agnostic, that means you say that you "don't have knowledge" whether god exists or not. If you're agnostic, you are obviously NOT a theist or Christian or label yourself to any religion. If you can't say POSITIVELY that you believe in god, then you in fact are an atheist. All agnostics are atheists, and all atheists are agnostics to a degree.
BIG rant for me, since so many people twist these words around.
