Which teacher in your school career has made the largest impact on you, your life, something that you do. Which teacher has stuck out?
I'll answer when I have a few minutes, possibly after I'm done getting ready. :)

My CW2 teacher. She's made me realize how good of a writer I am and how much potential I have. I still have seen a dip in my grades in most classes lately and I've been caring less and less about school; but because of her I have at least a little bit of motivation to succeed and because of her I know that I'm not a complete failure... At least I can write if there's nothing else in my future...

my geography/commerce teacher. she has picked up on my low confidence and goes out of her way to encourage me whether thats with words or by giving me extra work to do to help me improve. but the reason i like her is that i respect her, and because she goes out of her way to help me, i try harder to work better and improve for not only myself, but to please her too. also, the fact she is like only 22 is good because she can relate to us well which definetly helps. she has shown me, that some teachers do care and that when they show appreciation for you, that the motivation to do good work for them is much higher.

I have two teachers that have changed my life.
One is my 8th grade Social Studies teacher. He made the stuff fun. When we had a few extra minutes at the end of class, we could ask him a geography question, and if we stumped him, we got a lollipop. I won often at that game. The beginning of the class he would always play music from his computer. And sometimes he would play it during our tests just to annoy us. He made things interesting, adding his own little twists to them so we could understand them.
He and I really hit it off. Every morning, he always had coffee, and he would set it down, and walk away. Usually about 3 minutes later, he'd go to get it and couldn't find it. Then accuse me of stealing it. And then occasionally when we got too loud from talking he would throw something at us. He has a wooden block on his desk that has his name on it, and he would pick that up. Then as he was about to throw that, he would take out a soft, cloth block with letters on it, a baby toy. It always made me jump because I was never expecting it. I dunno why he made such a difference, but I often go back into his classroom when I need help with anything. He's really good at math and English, and he sometimes helps me with homework. He started a program at my school, and its really cool. And he has started getting people together to create a courtyard for us to hang out in during study halls and lunch, which is cool. He always says "You guys gotta be here anyways, why not make it at least semi enjoyable."
Another teacher that made an impact on my life was my woodshop/Tech (They are the same thing here) teacher. He nicknamed me Nestle, and I still am called that by him. He's so nice, and he always says hi when he sees me. I don't have him as a teacher anymore, but I wish I did. I excelled in his class. He would give you instructions, but if you wanted to do something a bit differently, you just asked. We made a plant stand, and I didn't like the shape of the top, so I made it different. And he said he liked it. Every morning when I would walk into the class, he would have a different quote for me. They ranged from funny, to inspirational, to stuff that I had no idea what they were about. And I looked forward to that every day. He allowed me to express myself through my projects and work at my own pace, get every piece perfect. And when I had him as a teacher, I would sometimes be in a really bad mood when I got there, and he had a standing rule that if you don't feel like working for a reason, then don't. He would let me sit at his desk and doodle on the calender on it until I was feeling a bit better.

Ah, that reminds me. I loved my World History Honors teacher last year. He was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. He was really young so we all kind of got along with him. He made history fun and he was just a great guy. You could tell he put a lot of effort into his work. He was fun to talk to and he know a lot about history. He's by far my favorite teacher of all time just in terms of teaching ability...
My CW2 teacher has had a much bigger "outside the classroom" impact on me, though I don't think she necessarily knows that...

My english teacher/form tutor. She has been helping me with personal problems for nearly two years now. She's helped me realise that talking to someone about my feelings or worries, isn't that bad. Since at home, I've always been shouted at whenever I show any upset or worried emotions. At least I know I can talk to her. Even though I always feel like i'm bothering her....:whoops:.

Two of the only male teachers that I ever had.

My high school math teacher. I had her for 8th grade, algebra I and II and advanced math. I don't know what else to say about her, but she was amazing and is definitely my favorite teacher.

I have never gotten along with any of my teachers. I'm pretty confident when I say none of my teachers have impacted me positivity.

My guidance teacher.
After singleing me out, embarressing me, unfairly treating me, rejected and ignored me throughout high school i'd say she has had the biggest impact... for being such a boot :P Fuck you Mrs C

I'm glad I came across a topic like this. The teacher that made the biggest impact on me, was.. well is my Year 8 (7th Grade in the USA/Canada) R.E. (Religious Education) teacher - Mrs. Mayne.
Although she didn't make much personal impact on me at the time, I've always admired her commitment, and the fact she was nice, and also her knowledge and experience with various teen social problems - teen sex, bullying, suicide, etc. - much more than any of my other teachers.
I'm relieved she was the teacher who found out I self-harmed, and eventually got me support. But before then I'd always wanted to at least approach her once, although it never ended up happening. It's a shame I never had her again after Year 8.
As for a negative impact, I'd say my Year 6 teacher. He was a lot like GYSGT Hartman from Full Metal Jacket - just take out the swearing and physical abuse. lol.

I would have to say some of the teachers that have made the most impact on me has been my 7th grade science teacher....and my 8th grade english teacher. My science teacher understood a lot of stuff because she was raising a teenager at the time she was teaching me and when I lost my uncle to cancer...she actually cared and she gave me the support I needed at the time....She dropped one of my tests that I had the day my uncle died because I could not focus and I did very very bad on it. She followed up with me throughout the day and made sure I was doing okay. She showed that she cared. My English teacher from 8th grade...has been a real inspiration for me...she has encouraged me in my writing and she has helped me through some pretty tough times...She always listens to what I have to say and she really does care.

My teacher for AP physics in grade 11 and 12. Currently, I'm not in physics nor do I plan to do so, however, he was very nice to have discussions with regarding religion and science (specifically Christianity but many times all religions in general). He made me realize that you have to consider the philosophical underpinnings of both, and if you are to have the two together, these underpinnings shouldn't be very distorted if you wish to keep both of them intact.
The other teacher would be the teacher for AP biology and chemistry in grades 11 and 12. Although she was a rather dreadful teacher and not very exciting to talk to, she did make the courses very hard to prepare us for university, and for that, she did a good job on. Her tests were at times constructed in a rather pointless way because she made them ridiculously long and many of the questions were so ambiguous, however, the way she taught the class, the amount of work she made us do prepared me quite well for university.
I'll be in my 3rd year of university soon, and in 2nd year for biology, many of the concepts she taught us I remember and they are sometimes the same as what we learnt in some of the 2nd year courses, while other students had never seen it before. Horrible teacher, tests were pointless, however, her teaching was hard and that in the long-run was good. In the short-run, she was a bitch who just about every student hated (the ones who liked her were doing so miserable they dropped the course or found her hot).

Gotta be my band director. My parents are divorced, so I consider him to be the closest thing to a dad. Hell, i even call dad by accident sometimes. I stay after school everyday to wait for my mom, and i just wait in his office and all we do is talk (even though mostly about music). He has taught me lot of life lessons. My personal favorite is "If one fish pees in the fish tank, all the other fish have to swim in it."

Without a doubt, my 2nd/3rd year primary school teacher.
I had a really tough time growing up, and he was the only teacher, one of the very few people in general in fact, who noticed/even cared. For him you could really tell teaching wasn't just a 9-5, leave it at the door kind of job, but that he actually cared about his pupils. He was a really great teacher, and it made school a sorta break from my home situation, which I am really grateful for.

The teacher who made the biggest impact on me has to be the music teacher I had from year 9 to year 11. She was a bloody nutter of a women, but an awesome teacher. I learnt so much about music from her; how to compose it, how to play the piano etc. She really opened mine and everyone else mind up to music and everything that entrails :)

I've learned something from all my teachers (sometimes bad things), but I think the best one is my choir teacher, not only because he gave me the chance to be in choir and have all the experiences I've had, but he's very nice, responsible, hardworking, and a very good director.

The teacher that's had the most impact on me must be my Drama teacher. She's helped me through sexuality problems and bullying problems. More or less like my councilor. :D
