best friend

I have been best friends with a girl for about 4 years, and for three of them she has had a boyfriend, recently they have broken up. I have always loved her, and i know she has had feelings for me in the past.
she means the absolute world to me, and i would never want to risk our frienship.
any advise???? please!!!

seming that she has a boyfriend,
be like her saftey net anytime she has an arguement with her makesure your there
she'll gain lots of trust.
and if she does brake up with her boyfriend then shell think you were alot nicer than him

you said it yourself. you don't want to risk the friendship. what some people don't realise is that sometimes being best friends is even more special then adding the complication of it being a romantic relationship. i think what you have with this girl now is really special as it is and i don't think you should risk it all when things between you are great to start with. i'm not saying that it wouldn't work, but in a lot of cases in time things change and aren't the same anymore when the romantic aspect of the relationship changes. so my advice would be to keep things how they are, but if it feels right for you, then maybe you should take it further.
