The story of my life
Would bore you straight to tears,
It would cause you to break down
Hysterically in fear.

You'd laugh systematically
But cry deep inside,
You'd wonder if it'd ever end,
Or if I had any pride.

I'd talk about what
Isn't true,
I'd talk about
My life with you.

I'd talk about
The evidence
Not present
In my case of lies.

I'd talk about
The president
And why I think that
Pigs should fly.

I'd discuss
Some politics
But then I'd
Fall asleep...

And I'm sure that
You would too
If you were counting sheep,
Everyday of the week (yeah, everyday of the week...)

So yeah
Back to the point
I know
The story of my life...

As I said like
Once before
It would bore
You straight to tears.

It would cause you
To break down
And cry
Then laugh and drink a beer.

You'd share it with a buddy
Who you don't quite know the name of
Just so you can say that
You have never felt ashamed of...

The story of my life
Would bore you half to death,
It might even cause some problems
With your bladder or your spleen.

It could cause you
To stutter in your speech
Or slur your words (I'd know),
It might even go unheard (or so I have been told).

So I think
I'll just
Avoid the point
So happiness prevails...

I think I won't
Attempt to bore
You with this crap
I call my dear...

My dear, dear life
Like a deer in headlights
Realization strikes (no fear)
And now I see the light of life
And how darkness prevails.

But what's it mean
To anybody
Who isn't anyone?
I guess it doesn't mean a thing
Unless you have a gun (pointed at the sun).

So yeah again I guess I'll say
The story of my life is plain,
Dull, mundane and damn insane.
It don't make sense at all;
Like the grammar of this past sentence
It might just piss you off (Yeah it might just piss you off).

Thanks Jared. I've had a sudden spark of inspiration to write some songs... What's interesting to mention is that sometimes what I consider to be my "best" work I don't post on here, for fear that either A) someone will steal it or B) people won't like it... Though A is a much more logical reason for not posting them than B... 0.o

That's mainly the case with poems though, not songs. Almost every song I've ever written has been posted on here... And that is nowhere near the case with my poetry...
