When you get older do you ever lose the feeling or like interest to masturbate to the point where you actually quit masturbating?

As you get older and mature out of puberty, your sexual drive does cool down a lot, and it then continues to decline as you get older. Some people stop masturbating at a certain point, but not everyone- it's completely up to the person.

For the most part, when guys get to be 40, 50, 60 the masturbation drive gets slower. But for the most part, males masturbate with the same frequency for a very long time

It becomes a bit less frequent as you get older. I know I do it much less than I used to. I used to do it at least once a day, now I only do it a few times a week.

Well, everyone has a 'sex drive', that's a biological thing, it's wired into us. And it's activated during puberty (yep, hormones!). It's the sudden rush of those hormones and all the physical development that causes what my bud Will refers to as 'Uber horniness'. Those frequent erections, the preoccupation with things sexual. But, all that is caused by the newness of those hormones and all the changes to our bodies.

After puberty, what you're left with is an adult body with an adult sexual drive, which is a lot different than what you got now. It's like starting a fire in a fireplace: At first ('Puberty'), you've got a brief but intense roaring fire, but later on, ("adulthood') you get all those mellow, hot coals. Which keep you very warm (without the drama) for a very long time!

So, the way the adult sex drive is felt and expressed varies from person to person. Some adults are more active, others less so. Some continue to masturbate a lot (even if they're in relationships or married), some less so. And, since the pattern is the result of a biological drive, it's pretty consistent thru life (unless there's illness or psychological issues, both of which can interfere). The need for sexual contact (esp. for guys) remains throughout life, and only markedly changes in old age (70+).

well when u get older and get a girlfreind or get married u have more chances to not masturbate and just have sex. of course, sex is a lot better, so i'm pretty sure you would lose a little interest.

My god. you think its like that? lol... its a rare occasion after you hit 30years old married to have sex, most couples save it for special occasions such as birthdays and aniverserys.

I'd like to add to the other answers here,

at a certain age you will get ED (Erectile Dysfunction). This means you are in able to to get erect. You can take Viagra to make it easier to maintain/ achieve an erection, but it is a pain to have to - so most people just stop when it gets too hard to get an erection. "At age 40, there is an approximately 40% prevalence rate, increasing to almost 70% in men at age 70." Masturbating when your older is still a normal activity. But hopefully by then you should have a loving partner to satisfy your needs, so you shouldn't need to do it as much.

The rate of masturbation goes down with age certainly.
