Well, i go to a charter school so we dont have school showers, BUT i go to Young Marines and they make us shower.

I dont do much, i just shower, and discretely (and quickly) check out other people showering

Well, my locker rooms do have showers (they're really weird looking) but we don't use them. I think my teacher mentioned showering next year in high school but i don't really remember. Do you think the size of the school matters? Like if you have a huge school they will make you shower because of health reasons with all the people? Just curious.

Obviously some people are not comfortable baring all in front of other people. And in addition to that, a lot of people are scared of what will happen to certain...things...so thats why its a big deal.
It is a pretty big deal especially when they randomly make you do it one day in high school when you aren't used to it.
So ya, it IS a big deal that I guess we would just have to deal with if forced.

That's a great point of view; unfortunately, many kids at school wouldn't share it. If you got an erection in the shower, do you think everyone would really go, "Oh, it's alright, happens to everyone."? Probably not. Kids are cruel, their social systems crueler. The more alike everyone is in middle-high school, they easier it is for them to survive. Which means not taking showers, because that reveals [potential] differences.

I do not. We don't get time to shower after gym class, and after games for my sports, we aren't allowed to either. I don't know why.

And if we were, I would definitely. I know that at least at my school, we have actual stalls with curtains....I'm not sure about everyone else's school though. It'd be like taking a shower at home, although I'm sure at my school the water won't get very hot.

I used my school showers quite a lot in my last year. Before that everyone was too embarrassed to go into the large group showers, so the school put in some single ones. Then everyone started using them so there were none in use, so I used the large group ones, and in the end everyone was in the group ones so the school just wasted money. And to the OP, what did I do in there? I cleaned, isn't that what you're supposed to do?

Here in ohio ppl just don't care, everyone is a man, everyone gets girls or boys, so as long as you get what you like nobody cares, you alway will have that person with stray eyes, but only immature men would make fun of you for getting a woody, or an idiot...throught puperty you will get that alot for no reason, + alot of guys use viagra for field proformance uses, increases testosterone in the body allowing you to play harder. (personlly i do, and i've never been made fun of)

We have showers at our school, but for some reason, not enough for the PE classes going on. There are usually two or three during a particular period. (Of 30 or so in each class, all different grade levels, so Im happy because I'm 13 in 8th grade and showering with a senior would make me nervous.)

If we did though, I guess maybe I would. But I'm a little chubby in some places, so that would be embarassing. We do change infront of each other though, and you can see outlines of things through underwear. Of course, mostly everyone at school is curious, but usually pretty discreet about it.

my school has both private and public showers. As a freshman in cross country I, along with the other freshman, would wait in line for the two private ones. And I would always notice the freshman taking peeks at the seniors in the public showers. Now, as a sophomore, I use the public showers every morning after practice. I always showered after wrestling practice. There was no way I was going to get dressed again after sweating so much and having other people's sweat on me from practice.

It is healthier to shower before the sweat dries on your body. It is more hygienic.
