Thank you to those who've helped me over the past week or so.
I wrote a detailed letter to my mom telling her how serious my cutting was and how serious I was about stopping.
She read it, not five minutes ago, and there's been this huge weight that's been lifted off of my shoulders.
I'm going to see a psychologist or therapist or counselor or whomever, and it's covered by insurance (I was worried about being a financial burden on my family in a time like this).
Glory Hallelujah!
I never have to hide it anymore!
I don't have to live with any shame amongst my own family!
I'm free!
Praise God, I'm free!

Oh my gosh, thanks guys.
You should've seen me: I was shaking so bad because I was afraid that my mom was going to ground me or beat me or something. I was emailing my boy friend and he kept replying, trying to get me to calm down.
So my mom comes in and says everything exactly how it should be said and is getting me help. I was so shocked. After she left my room, I started crying.
Emotions are still getting all swirled around, but right now it feels like a good type of emotional stir.

Oh, I am just so happy for you! I just knew it would work out, that 'Telling' doesn't result in some awful scene. Quite the contrary! Given the opportunity, most parents will do what's necessary to safeguard their kids, and get them the help they need.

Haha, thanks! The only thing was that she said, "Kylie, you need to stop that." She wasn't angry. She almost... laughed it off? I guess that's what you'd call it. My mom has a tendency to do that. Anyway, Sam (bf sam, not the one on here) is getting a list of psychologists/counselors from his counselor. Everything's going by really fast.

eh. I'm trying to decide whether it was the best reaction. I still haven't gotten my list from Sam yet. It's completely died down. No one else in my family has said anything. Although, I haven't been wearing as many sweatshirts around. I probably will have to when I get back to school. Our school is really weary about stuff like that, and if someone catches you, you automatically go on suicide prevention. It's like a quarantine, I swear. That's why I can't go to the school psychologist or counselors or anyone at the school. Of course, that's what happens when you go to an uptight school district that allows no freedom of expression and basically restricts your clothes to almost a uniform, even though it isn't quite.
Let's just say, our school district is a whole bunch of old geezers and hags who are insanely rich and like to keep everything under their reigns. However, it's much worse than with the other schools, because we're the smartest.
