You cant get addicted to LSD exactly, butwhat it does is; it makes your brain BLEED on your spine so you can hallucinate and such, but even if he never does it again, he will still have hallucinations later on in his life, so dont let him do it again because it will fuck him up beyond belief...

Well actually, it doesn't make your brain bleed. That's a common rumor about Pysclocyben Mushrooms, but I'm not sure if it's true or not. Flashbacks have been reported, but never confirmed.
To anser your question sir, Acid is LSD, LSD is the short form for it's name which is too long for me to spell, and Acid is a nickname for it. It is not physically addicting, however it can be extremely dangerous. People's actions cannot be predicted, and you could get severely hurt. Not just talking about overdose. This drug can be dangerous, so i advise against ever doing it again.

Yeah man, sure it may seem like a cool experience at first and it's all fun and games blah blah blah, but it really is nothing to skrew around with. You don't need it, just like I dont need weed, which i have came to realise recently. Just don't do acid

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who hasn't done shrooms.

That's outright bullshit. Don't post if you have no idea about what you're saying. LSD doesn't make your brain bleed, and one use doesn't cause any permanent changes like recurrent hallucinations.
LSD is completely non-addictive and physically safe. Mentally, it is a fairly powerful psychoactive and could be pretty mentally harmful to someone who is not prepared. A trip sitter is always advised.

Acid stays in your system all your life, I've been told. People can get flashbacks and shit. I've heard, you can't get certain jobs if you've done acid. Jobs where it concerns other peoples safety. Like a policeman.

That's all roumours. It's also been said that for pilots too. It's impossible to test for it say 20 years down the road

It's not "very addictive", I'm not sure where you get this info from. I can't comment on the braincell part because I'm not sure, but I have doubt. I'm not in a comatosis state or a veggitable, and I've done acid more than 16 times. Many more.

There is a fantastic amount of misinformation in this thread. Hopefully I can clear some up for you.
LSD
It is a hallucinagenic drug - This means it induces hallucinations (trips, visions) It can also heighten your current mood. The effects of LSD will vary from person to person and from time to time you take it.
There is NO proof of physically addiction to LSD, however a person may become mentally addicted to it.
There's no proof to suggest LSD does any long-term damage to the body or long-term psychological damage. However it is not recommended that a person with mental problems takes LSD.
If you are taking LSD or any kind of drug, bare in mind the legal state of the drug, also always have a sitter with you (A sitter is a person who is sober and will make sure you don't think you can fly or something stupid like that.)

ok so,
d-lysergic acid diethylamide ( LSD, acid, cid, drops,) is basically the standard for psychedelics, it is active at extremely low doses, meaning you don't have to take much (depending on your tolerance of course) and is most commonly available on blotters (acid tabs) or in liquid form. the trip can last anywhere from 6-14 hours (depending on your dosage) and effects can range from increase in energy, creative thinking, mood lift, closed and open eye visuals and profound life-changing spiritual experiences, to anxiety, tension, nausea, dizziness, confusion, paranoia, fear, and panic.
it is a regulated Schedule I substance meaning it is illegal to manufacture, buy, possess, or distribute without a DEA license.
the dose which has been lethal to 50% of tested animals (LD50) is 12,000 ug (a single tab usually contains between 30 - 100 ug of LSD.) do the math :P
EDIT: 12,000 ug is equivalent to 400-120 LSD tabs depending on the amount of LSD in the actual tab
"No well-documented human deaths resulting directly from the toxic effects of LSD itself have occurred, though LSD has been implicated in accidental deaths, suicides, and homicides." by Haddad Winchester page 459 of Clinical Management of Poisoning and Drug Overdose
basically, don't ever try a drug that you don't know about. and while i cannot promote drug use, if you ever decide to take it again make sure all the conditions are safe, and you have a good, sober, trusted friend (trip sitter) to make sure you are alright

false false false false....false
it is also a "known fact" that using psilocybin mushrooms more than 2 times makes you "mentally unstable" but that is COMPLETELY incorrect, there have been no REPORTED deaths from the "toxic" effects of LSD...
EDIT: as for it being addictive, it is not physically addicting, maybe mentally addicting, but hey...chocolate is mentally addicting, you gonna stop eating chocolate? ^.^

Lysergic acid diethylamide, LSD, LSD-25, or acid, is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug of the ergoline family. Its unusual psychological effects, which include visuals of colored and crawling geometric patterns, and a sense of time distortion have made it one of the most widely known psychedelic drugs.

If that's the case your school must be terrible and I feel very sad for the kids who you will eventually "help", since you appear to know next to nothing about drugs.

kinda off topic but just to clear things up a bit... since the psylocyben crosses the blood-brain barrier their is no way that it could make your brain bleed, it goes to the ganglia (any of certain masses of gray matter in the brain) of various sites after crossing. Their is no way for something that crosess the blood-brain barrier to make you bleed because it isn't in the blood anymore.
the most dangerous part about taking mushrooms is the fact that one might not be mentally ready for the trip, they may cause distressful situations to become abnormally distressful, leading to unwanted results :)
