I am posting a brief summary of the movie at the bottom of my post. I may post some spoilers soon, but I want to give people a chance to see it, so please avoid giving away parts of the movie. Thanks.
I went to see Knowing with Nicholas Cage the other day. I was hoping for the ending to be more suspenseful. While the plot was a great idea, the movie seemed to lack something.
I recommend you see this movie, but don't be surprised if you don't understand the ending. It leaves many questions unanswered unless you connect religion throughout the story.
********Summary********
Basically, Nicholas Cage has a son who gets a letter from the past that was trapped in a time capsule for 50 years. After Nicholas Cage researches, he finds many coincidences with previous and future disasters, all of which are written on the paper. The paper was written by a little girl 50 years into the past, and Cage seeks to find her. Along the way, he finds out that she's dead, but her daughter is alive (whom also has a daughter).
